This profile includes two small but important inlets off Douglas Channel: Kitkiata (Lax Galts’ap), and Kishkosh. These inlets are critically important to local First Nations and support a diverse range of marine species including several bivalves, crab, groundfish, salmon, prawn, and a large number of seabirds. The inlets are socially and culturally important to First Nations who inhabit the area, and includes a village site on an island in the estuary.
